Tissue Paper Party Letters!

When planning my good friends baby shower  I needed a statement piece for the food table.  Insert Tissue O here.  Now just a heads up this project takes way longer than one would anticipate… but it is totally worth it!  First I started with scrap pieces of cardboard  Once I had that cut out I used Styrofoam cups for stability in-between the layers.  I used a little hot glue to keep them in place.  (You could use this same idea to make pinatas, this is where you would leave out the cups and just seal the edges) 

Then it is time to tissue and cover. This was the most time consuming part.

Chalk Board Easel DIY

I always seem to be planning some kind of dinner, gathering and party!  A chalk board sign is typically one of my staple items.  It is a great way to welcome in the guest, showcase the menu or personalize the decor. Here comes the DIY chalk board easel!!

It took some thinking through but it turned out amazing!!

Items needed:

1. 3 - pieces of wood 

2. A small hinge - placed at the top of the leg

3. Chain - to stabilize the leg

I don't have exact sizes at the moment it was a lot of trial and error for me.

It is all based on the size of your chalk board 

Love a Good Party!

If you know me at all you know I love to plan a good party!  My sweet lil sis Chloe Jo was graduating from High School and turned to my mom and I to help her plan the perfect graduation party.  Of course we were more than thrilled!!  Planning a party in Arizona vs. the midwest is a little different.  Also planning the party at a location we have never been.  But my mom and I loved the challenge and it turned out PERFECT just like Chloe :)
